    Career Services, in conjunction with Workforce WV, is hosting the Fall Career Fair 2015! on October 28, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the College Activities Center.

    The fair will be open to WVU Parkersburg Students only between the hours of 10 a.m.- 11 a.m.; beginning at 11 a.m. the public will be invited to attend.

    The Criminal Justice program of WVU-Parkersburg will be hosting the domestic violence clothes project display in classroom 0133 starting Monday Oct 8 thru Friday of next week. The display will be open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. It will be maned the entire time it is open. This is a emotional display and all who are able should come visit it. There will be a sign in sheet available. There will also be a display made from inmates on this topic.

    There will be a candle light vigil on Wednesday at 6:00 pm in front of the school, with guest speakers.

    All users who have registered for the VMware Academic Program as of noon on October 6th have been verified and enrolled as students.  This should allow you to download software from the VMAP website.  Any new registrations should select the group Student when registering and verifying their account.  Adding your account to the student group should allow you to download software immediately.  If you have any problems, please contact Charles Almond.

    Don’t Forget!

    Don’t forget, Tuesday, November 2nd is election day, and all college classes will be cancled.

    Also, this week is the beginning of priority pre-registration for the Spring 2011 semester. If you are already a student, you can register for classes starting this week.

    CIT professor Doug Weaver will be presenting a lecture Monday at 11:00 AM in Room 2209 discussing the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Almost all the world’s Coltan, substance in all computer chips, is found in Congo. Congo is a country rich in mineral resources yet a country with serious problems affecting many other countries including the Unite States.
