Academy Connection will be unavailable for approximately 14 hours on Saturday, November 14, 2009, beginning at 6:00 a.m. PST (14:00 GMT) for scheduled maintenance and the following system enhancements:

  • New feature that allows instructors to email locked versions of their gradebooks
  • Enhanced privacy for users’ personal information
  • Simplified user participation preferences
  • Improved security for Academy Connection logins

Professor Doug Weaver has e-mailed all students with tasks to complete. All students will study Chapters 4 and 5, complete the study guides and the labs. Labs may be done at home if students have the necessary equipment. If not, a special open lab time has been arranged in room C123 on M/W from 1:00 – 3:45 and on T/TH from 12:30 – 3:00. Professor Jenny Dawkins will resume classes next week.

Normally we do not offer this course in the spring but due to the record enrollment we will offer it. The second in the Cisco Networking Academy series, CIT 106 (CCNA2) will be offered summer of 2010 in order to allow the spring semester CIT 105 students to get in sync with the regular series. This means that Fall of 2010 CIT 106 (CCNA2) students will be able to continue in CIT 205 (CCNA3).
